I DID IT!
Todays review on Healthy Human water bottles allows me to check a goal off my list!

I did not accomplish many goals this year since I spent most of the year injured, BUT I did accomplish the goal of doing more video reviews! Granted that was a very wimpy goal since I only did one review last year... but I did TWO This year!

Check out my other two reviews here. I know I don't have a lot of views on these things, but if I keep at it, maybe I can quit my day job and/or get free stuff sent to me that I get to make goofy videos with my kids while talking about a product I'm trying out. You have to start somewhere and

A GIRL CAN DREAM (think warm thoughts, think warm thoughts)!

Speaking of my work, a tiny snippet of my day makes an appearance in this review since I mostly use the Healthy Human water bottle at work. I've actually delayed doing the review because I typically just leave it there so that I know I have a water bottle every day. Every great athlete attributes their success and durability in part to hydration, and as a teacher (who barely gets a bathroom break) I for sure need to work on this area, and the Healthy Human has helped!
Now since I know not everyone has time for my videos (your loss! ha!) I'll just put some of the absolutely staggering statistics found on the Healthy Human website below for you.

Really, I truly love the water bottle because of it's bright pink color, but I'm also loving the sport top. It definitely makes me more likely to use it since I can access the water with one hand. Thats for sure the selling part for me since I'm often tied up and am lucky to even have one hand available.
If you follow me on instagram, I posted in my stories (saved in highlights) a bunch of different companies that give back to the community in some way. Most of what I posted was buy one, get one model... but Healthy Human gives back in many ways, take a look!

So if you're looking to make your Christmas gifts mean a little more this year, give this company a try! Help us be Healthy Humans with a Healthy Earth.

Rollga Roller: Product Review

11/7/2018

You may not know this, but I set a New Years Resolution to do more product reviews. Well... It's November and I haven't done a single one... BUT I also only did one last year so the bar was set pretty low (If you are breastfeeding or planning to breastfeed, check out the Milkies Milk-Saver Review). I may be procrastinating, but I think I can handle two reviews in the next two months!

Anyway, I really really want to be writing about my training... but last time I did that, I immediately got re-injured... now I'm not superstitious  about it, but I am a little sticious (If you miss the reference, we are not friends) So I'm waiting until I get over just one more hump. Head over to myinstagram or follow me on strava if you're interested in seeing my training immediately!
Moving on...
Today I'm reviewing the Rollga Roller. Here's a little background info for you on how I came about this product. Back in 2015 I was training for a marathon, per usual, I was suffering with shin and calf injuries. While ferociously googling solutions to all my problems and watching youtube tutorials on stretches I haven't yet tried, this roller popped up as an advertisement and I immediately wanted it.

It was very hard for me to justify immediately spending the money because as most of you know my husband works in specialty running stores and has access to every roller ever made... and he convinced me that if it was really good it would be in a store of his soon and he could probably get one for free from a manager or something....

Well, He was wrong. I can't tell you why they are not yet in specialty stores, but I do expect we will see these awesome rollers popping up all over in no time. When I saw so many of my instagram friends receiving a roller, I messaged begging for one of my own. I was given one with really no requirement to do anything except take a picture and give honest feedback to my followers. When you have a good product, you don't need to bribe people to say good things about it or to post a certain amount of times per week. For me all the posts have been natural. I'm using this product every day, I love it, and I want everyone to have one! No roller addresses shins like this! and shin pain is a precursor to calf injuries for me so it's been a game-changer.

Anyway... Heres a video to tell you more about it. I did this video because a. New Years Resolutions, and b. I can not say enough good things about it. No one asked me to do this, but after so many people inquiring about it via my instagram, it made sense to move forward toward my goal with this product. I'm so cautious to accept any product offering because I value my followers so much and I don't want them to see my account shift towards a place for advertising, but I will never lie to you about a product, and I'll only recommend things that I really  believe in. This is way at the top of the list.

Check out why!

So, as mentioned in the video, check my instagram page for a giveaway! November is a month of being Thankful, and I am thankful for all the support I've received this year in my journey back to healthy running. I can't believe how many new followers I gained while injured, and I truly appreciate all your support!

The only *rules* are to
1. Follow Rollga on instagram @Rollgahealth

2. Tag two friends who would be interested in this product in the comments under the instagram giveaway post

You DON'T need to follow me, because again, this is for you guys and I don't want generic followers... BUT if you want to follow me... that's cool, hopefully more running and less injury this coming year!

BONUS: You respond to this blog post with your favorite method of recovery... other than foam rolling, with your new Rollga Roller of course (make sure your instagram handle is included in the comments!)!

Giveaway Ends 11/13 before midnight, and winner will be announced shortly after.

I truly hope you enjoyed the review and that I was able to give you a good sense of the versitility of this myofascial release tool . I'd love to try out other products and give them an honest review... if you have any suggestions, send them my way!

If you don't win the giveaway, want one of these Rollers, and want to help a girl out,  I'd appreciate it if you could use one of the amazon links below. I certainly don't make a living off of my blog, but every little bit helps! It also makes it easier for me to validate spending time doing this when I get some feedback, so if you find this helpful, leave a comment!

    Hello!

Welcome to my blog! I blogged my entire pregnancy in 2017 and I had high hopes for where I could take my running after baby number 2, but my body had other plans. At some point I got too discouraged to write and recently realized that it is essential for my personal growth and development to keep putting feelings into coherent(ish) thoughts. I hoped to run sub 2:45 in the marathon one day, but I was recently diagnosed with a rare disease called fibromuscular dysplasia and I'm reinventing this blog to share information on what I learn for my single subject size. You can come along for the ride, apologies in advance for grammatical incorrectness!
